This is a great commercial Aire. It is in fact the sister Aire to the one we visited in Silves. But I must admit this is in a far better location. The site is immaculate each of the pitches are marked out and most have electric points. The cost was €8.00 a night this included water, hot water showers, electric and WIFI. Shaun and I really liked this Aire it is situated in the mountains not far from Portimao, there was a calm/tranquil atmosphere about the place. It is a commercial Aire for motorhomes only. It is owned by a Portugees family. It was €12.00 a night, that was for electric, hot showers, water and WIFI. Mins De Sao Domingos – Portugal

We were told about this Aire by an English couple that we met in Ampudia. We were told it was another must place to visit in Portugal, a hidden gem that is not in any of the Aire books as yet. It is a free Aire in an old mining village. Les Gets/Morzine – Mountain Bike Mecca – France.

The end of June saw us heading north into the French Alps to Les Gets and Morzine, the Mecca for Mountain Biking.  Shaun and a few of his Army mates had arranged to take part in a 80km Mountain Bike event over the weekend of 27-29 June.
