Ampudia – Spain

Before we drove over the border to Portugal we decided to stay at a free Aire which is located on the outskirts of Ampudia, a very pretty village that has a medieval castle. It was a very tranquil type of place. It has a few coffee shops and a small museum. Orange Groves in Spain

We are now sat writing this blog from an Aire surrounded by orange groves in Eastern Spain.  Well we are actually between Barcelona and Valencia on our way down to Portugal.We left Bourg St Maurice on Wed morning after I had a great afternoon on Tue skiing with Shaun and Tom. Mountain Biking -Totana Spain

We decided after two days of being on the motorways of Spain it was time for a little rest from driving and have a bit more fun. So we chose an Aire (that cost us €7 per night) in the hills above a place called Totana, near Murcia.
