Ferragudo – Portugal.

Ann and I decided to move away from the Aire at Praia Da Rocha and let the rumours about the Aire closing die down.
We had always seen other Motorhomes parked on a beach across the water near a little fishing village. So we decided to go and park there for a night and see how it felt!!
We moved with another 2 vans belonging to Dennis and Janine, and, Mark and Theresa (apologies for any misspellings), who became good friends of ours.
So how was our first night?? Well it was a little sleepless!! With being so close to the waters edge, you could hear the tide come in and out. That first night I kept looking out of the window checking the waves were not licking at the tyres of the van. I need not have worried, there was quite a distance between us and the waters edge even at high tide. In fact the sound of the water became so soothing to go to sleep.
Ann and I felt safe and happy on Ferragudo beach so we decided to stay a while and go explore the fishing village.
What a wonderful village, we found everyone so friendly. Our One night turned into a five night stay. We went shopping for fresh fish from the fish mongers on the harbours side. We had a Bar-B-Q on the beach for our dinner. Just bliss. We had a wonderful time.
