Sarges – Portugal
Posted on October 19, 2014
We parked above the beach for free on a gravel piece of land, with about 11 other motorhomes. There were no facilities just fantastic views looking out to sea. There was a great fish restaurant right next to the piece of land. The Portugees fish soup was Delicious.
But we have since been told that the authorities of Sagres have now put signs up not permitting motorhomes to park on this piece of land or on the lower section during the day or at night. We were told this was because of health regulations. We have since found out that the fish restaurant by the side of the land has closed down, because with all the motorhomes gone most of there trade had gone too. What a great shame.
While we were exploring Sagres we came across another Aire with motorhomes parked up in it. They were all parked up in one of the car parks by the Fort. The fort was on the cliff top overlooking the beautiful beaches, we couldn’t go in as we had Jäger and they informed us that dogs weren’t allowed in. Looked worthy of a visit, next time maybe!
