Sunny Scarborough

Posted on February 18, 2014
We are now staying at a very nice campsite situated about 5 miles from Scarborough on the way to Filey. The campsite is called Lebberston Touring Park, it has a small shop on site with a tourist information point, there is also a bus stop right outside the site to either Scarborough or Filey.  Dogs are also welcome with plenty of walks.

We have had such a lovely time while we have been here. The weather over the last few days has truly felt like spring is on its way, with bright crisp mornings. This gave Shaun, I and Jäger the chance to get out walking in the fresh crisp air and walk along the beach.  This is when we saw a colony of Seals with lots of pups playing in the rock pools. What an amazing sight and so close to us the parents were just laying there, sun bathing on the rocks, the juveniles were so inquisitive following us around the cove and back again.

Yes we have even made our traditional pilgrimage for some fish, chips and mushy peas to Old Mother Hubbards in Scarborough. We could of gone for the pensioners lunch time special but we were 20 years younger than the rest of the customers, so we didn’t think it would be right lol.
